These belts normally produce about 20 watts and their position on the bucket or carboy determine the amount of heat is put into your brew. The lower the belt is on the fermenting vessel the more heat is absorbed. The brew belt helped save my fermentation in the basement since my wife wouldn't allow me to ferment in the kitchen!

This product was a life or(wife) saver. It kept the brew at a constant 79 deg and the basement temp was 62. Worked perfect.

I have been using the belt for 3 months now and it works great. It's been keeping my mash at 78 degrees in cold weather.
