I am not a newbie here. I love these guys. I have owned my Mity Mini and the 12" extension for about 3 years now. It remains a solid and dependable product. I can get 196 proof out of an 18% wash. Just ran it again recently and got an honest 170 proof out of a 16% wash with only one copper roll. This little guy has withstood the test of time and continues to prove itself every time I use it. I would buy it again with no hesitation. Did I mention it cleans up like a dream? Nicely done Mile High, nicely done!

Just got my new column. Setup and ran a sugar wash. First and last jar came off at over 175 in reflex mode. Switched to strip mode and got my tails. Packed with copper and rings is.the way.to go. I recommend a split valve system setup for switching modes on the fly. What is there not to love.

Works flawlessly and produces great product. Only issue (which most people have already comment about) is that it isn't really built for a keg and will you have to do a little engineering for it to work. Overrall it works great.

I got my tower and the 12" add on with it and it works quite well. Couldn't be happier. People are nice and very helpful. Had a problem with shipping but it was resolved quickly. Thank you again Mile High staff.

I have used the tower in both reflux and pot still mode with great results. The tower is very well made with heavy gauge material.

I just received my still today and as far as craftsmanship goes, it is outstanding. Beautiful welds and very solid construction. This thing is heavy. I have not had a chance to use it yet but but based on the other reviews, I have high expectations for it. However I have noticed a few problems with the still right off the bat. Nothing major, just some things to think about if your considering this still.
1. Without the extension tube, this still sits very low. If your using a Keg as your boiler this presents a bit of a problem as the end of the output tube nearly touches the top of the keg. I had to orient the output tube toward the handle in the keg and use a piece of copper pipe through the handle to extend the output tube off the side of the keg.
2. The clamp provided with the still fits nicely over the keg and still without the gasket in it. When I put the provided gasket in between the keg and still, I can not get the clamp to close around the two. I'm sure this will work itself out after the gasket wears in a bit, but in the mean time its going to take two people to get it sealed up.
All in all I'm very happy with this still. Great product at a great price.

I love this product very clean welds and well built.
Pro's : does everything it is advertised to do.
Put together very well.
Looks real nice atop a keg.
Adjustable from pot to reflux
Cons: not the most efficient for stripping.
Overall i would highly recomend this to anyone.

I am giving t 5 stars based on the quality of the tower in relation to the price. Very simple design which is good. I have used it twice since receiving it a few weeks ago. Made a rye wash and cranked out 170 proof at 174 F. Good output throughout the process.
One recommendation: The location of the input and output tubes on the tower condenser could be modified to keep the hoses away from the heated kettle/keg.
