This is the easiest filter unit I've ever used. Just drill a 1" hole close to the bottom of your bucket and attach the spigot. Then fill the hose with carbon and attach the hose to the spigot. Fill the bucket with your product and open the spigot. It's that easy!

Coconut shell-based activated carbon is prepared from raw coconut shells by carbonization followed by steam activation. Carbonization involves heating to a high temperature in an inert atmosphere. Activation involves reaction with steam under carefully controlled conditions to develop specific pore structures and adsorptive properties. Steam activation at 800-900 °C produces carbons with internal surface areas ranging from 900 to 1500 m2/g carbon. Coconut shell activated carbon pores are mainly micro-pores* and meso-pores**. NSF 61 certified.
