Made from the finest grades of bituminous coal, it is ideal for many liquid phase applications. Coal based activated carbon originate from coal that has undergone steam activation process to create its activated carbon form. During activation, it creates millions of pores at the surface of the carbon, thus increasing the total surface area. Minimum surface area is approximately 1000m2/g. Bituminous activated carbon pores are mainly meso-pores** and macro-pores***. NSF 61 certified.

This is the easiest filter unit I've ever used. Just drill a 1" hole close to the bottom of your bucket and attach the spigot. Then fill the hose with carbon and attach the hose to the spigot. Fill the bucket with your product and open the spigot. It's that easy!
