To be quite honest, if I were in the market for a new still, this is the one I would buy! it's versatile, easy to set up, and produces a great product. No propane to keep track of, and no open flames around my 97% ABV (Can you say boom?) Now that it is coupled with a dual purpose tower, there really isn't anything else you will need!

I love this still. It is extremely well constructed. All the fittings and gaskets fit perfectly and retain tight seals throughout the run. A full run from start to finish takes about 7 hours, allowing 3 hours for warm up and dynamic equilibrium and another 4 for collection of the product. Hearts are in the 180s. Tear down is unbelievably simple. I went with the analog thermometer on the tower. Overall bottom line: it looks and feels amazing, is easy to use and makes a killer product.

This is my first still (8 gallon electric) and I'm thinking of buying a copper still from Mile Hi! I made my first batch this morning, 180 by hydrometer! Nice fat bubbles that dissipate quickly! The electric heater is set at 7.2 and is holding a steady 175 at the tower. I did a lot of research on stills before I settled on this one, I liked the looks of it, it is stainless, I watched the videos to see it in action, the price was fair and the workmanship is outstanding! Bravo Zulu Mile Hi, you guys do good work!

Just made my first run with the 8 gallon milk can . A vast improvement over the old Alembic . The heating element worked good, it took a little longer than I expected to get up to temp . But when it got there it flowed like a champ . Very impressed with quality and craftsmanship. Between this and the 48 hour turbo yeast , I'm sold !.

Does a good job but needs more thermostat control and little more wattage to reach higher head temperature .. That being said I'm enjoying this unit tremendously!!! Definitely recommend it!!

No complaints, works great. Just wish I had paid attention when I bought it, did not get the upgrade on tower thermometer. Already had one and figured I could use it, wrong, top of tower is not set up for it. Company did offer to do the weld, but shipping back and forth was a killer so kinda stuck with the little digital that I need a step stool to see!

Love this still.... granted the 1500 watt element is a bit small if your trying to boil in the cold, but wow does this thing work.. I can not find anything to complain about with this product or with Mile Hi.... thanks Guys.. If I had one suggestion it would be to put some grooves or a slight flair on the water nipples. other than that I am more than pleased!!!

Shipped with a defective digital thermometer. I love it, runs faster than my alembic pot. It's stunning, a work of art.
